The Lionhearted (In memory of Vishal Sinha)

He felt the pain
But he was silent
He beared it all
Though the pain was violent

He put on a brave smile
and tried to fool everyone
He could not move or hide
When all he wanted to do was run

Time flew by
It turned for the worst
But he said not a word
Though he felt cursed

The seconds and minutes dragged
Each more suffocating than the last
He waited patiently
For the time when he'd pass

He accepted the truth
Embraced his fear
He was so brave
When his end was so near

But he had not one regret
All his opportunities were met
He knew the time God had set
His parents' cheeks were wet
But he smiled at them
Closed his eyes in peace
He breathed his last
His life had ceased
His soul did truly rise
He's now with God in paradise.
